So it comes across as a normal taco just with an extra Gordita shell without adding anything extra other than sogginess. They always have about as much cheese as a regular taco and you can’t taste the sauce. You say a cheesy crunch I’ve never had one that could remotely be considered cheesy. They always come across soggy rather than soft. It doesn’t hit me that way because they never give me anything that could be described as that. Mostly bread with little filling them makes them delicious? I’m sure this will get plenty of downvotes but I’m curious if I’m one of the only Taco Bell fans that dislikes the cheesy Gordita crunch… There are only a few items I’d take the cheesy Gordita crunch over. I know so many people love this item I just don’t get it. And people talk about the sauce that comes on it but I’ve had it different times and different locations and it just tastes like a normal taco with an extra Gordita shell. There is not much cheese at all for it to be called cheesy, especially compared to the other menu items. The Gordita shell and the taco shell is too much carbs compared to the rest of the filing (the Big Mac suffers the same issue of too much bread). My unpopular opinion is that the cheese Gordita crunch is overrated and mid at best. Heck, even the guy on Its A Southern thing YouTube channel ranking Taco Bell food said it was one of the best things Taco Bell serves. Indeed, its ingenious recipe brings about a mixture of a soft gordita flatbread around a crunchy taco shell with melted cheese between the two layers.
